The Sims 4 Get Famous and latest update (1.47.something) trouble. [SOLVED]

Hi guys!
I recently downloaded the Get Famous expansion and the latest update and installed them properly.

My trouble begun when my actror some went to work. I went with him and had a blast playing this career for the first time. But when we got back home the game crashed.

After that I tried relogging to the same household and the game crashed every time. I redownloaded the game (with inactive antivirus of course). The same issue appeared.

Then I tried deleting the game file from where my game is installed, and copy other ones. First I tried the game file from "Get Famous", then the one that is for zl origin players from "Get Famous" and, last but not least, the "Seasons" game file. The first ones were giving me the same issue and the last one wasn't playable (of course).

Now I re-applied the newest update game file to my game, deleted my previous save and started a new household. If I have the same trouble again I'm gonna flip!

Help a sister out, PLEEEASE!!!

Hello,

First off: if you 'need' to apply a new Game-folder, you should always use the version that corresponds to your latest patch/DLC version. I'll also assume you removed ALL of your script mods?

These savefiles seem very prone to problems; I think in some cases it's going to be caused by people playing with incompatible mods/CC and then saving their game progress.

While I can't directly give any advice for your current issue, maybe it's important to keep in mind that you can actually back up these savefiles, onto a safe location like a USB-flash, some external drive or even a blank CD/DVD (not sure how many people are still using these). Especially if you play regularly, you won't lose a lot of progress if you keep creating backups.

Users have reported that sometimes it can also help if you run the game (TS4.exe or TS4_x64.exe) as Administrator. Other than that, there are some generic tips here:

If you haven#t read that yet, I would recommend in particular the thing about these "DEP exclusions".

Also: does the crashing also happen if you play another household?

Excuse me for the time passing like this, but I hadn't played the game for a while. Weeks before I downloaded the "yeti patch" and during the past weekend I was able to play the game quite a bit.

I was able to build a massive house with a household of 6 (3 sims and 3 dogs). Fiddled a little with playable careers and so far so good.

Mentioning all that lead me to believe that I messed up with the previous update download and/or installment somehow. Maybe I forgot to turn off my antivirus or something.

In conclusion, now all is well and smooth! Thanks for taking an interest guys. See ya around!
