Update question. [SOLVED]

Hi!
Im wondering, do I have to install all the sims 4 updates to get all content? Or can i just install the latest update? Does the latest update contain content from all of the previous?

You will have to install all G4TW items, but there are "shortcuts" that may be useful for new users like you. See the green notice at the beginning of this thread:

I have read it andhave been playing sims 4 without problems, just wondering about the updates sonce there are sooo many. So I would wish i could just install the latest update and that it would contian all the items and atuff from precious updates, so that one would not have to install the thousands of updates  But i guess, from your answer, thta thats not the case?

We don't have that kind of update-patch on G4TW. What you are suggesting is - in my opinion - almost the same as the already-circulating "all-in-ones". The idea is cool, but I don't think we're really going to change much about the way we release these official G4TW repacks.

Or you can use my repack. There's one patch file that contains all updates and you just download DLCs you want. It will be probably the smallest download.

I thought The_gh0stm4n told you to read the green text at the beginning of installation guide. There's a link to my repack.

It's as safe as G4TW releases. After installation you get the same files. It's just packed differently.

Title of the link is misleading as all updates incl. 1.48.95.1020 are included

Both systems are 100% saf and contain no malware or virusses. Both systems have plenty seeders for fairly quick download.

Granted, I think you may have read the guide at some point in the past, but maybe didn't notice the latest update notice (the one that I referred to as "green notice at the beginning"). I think I only added that green paragraph a few months ago, but still. It's worth noting that we keep updating these threads every time there is a new update. Usually we just add the latest DLC at the end of the list, but sometimes there are other changes as well.

Now, the reason I am posting this (seemingly straightforward?) advice here is less intended for you, since you already got everything working, but more for the people who read these comments and may be unaware of us editing these guides from time to time.

And: if something was un-safe, we would not allow it being posted on these Forums here.

No, you don't need all these updates when you have installed upto and incl. Get Famous.You then only need update 1.48.94.1020

Yes, I think we all agree that there are millions of legitimate ways of installing TS4, and since I don't expect the previous poster to show up again here (he already thanked anadius' comment), I will close the topic now.
