Tray Importer Help

I recently updated my game and I've been pruning my CC but the tray importer has been pretty trash.
Every time I go into it, it can't recognize my game path and says it needs a file path with the 'Game' and 'Client Build' folders.
My game is updated to 1.48 and I'd really like to get that bad CC out. Tried using Sims 4 Studio but that's not a quick fix.  
Is there a way I can get around this or possibly fix it?

"FILE" > "Config Paths" > uncheck "Auto Detect" and set your "Install Location".

Yes, I did that and while it makes the red exclamation marks go away, it doesn't for the "Save Folder" path.
After I set everything and click through no households show up on the side like they normally would.

In "Documents" field select Documents path: "C:\Users\{your username}\Documents".

Do you mean just the documents folder in that pathway? 
I tried that and nothing changed. 
Also, after that screen, when I click 'okay' a 'Settings' windows pops up. Is that normal?

And another one of your "Documents\Electronic Arts" folder.

Nothing really to see. I haven't changed anything but the fact that I applied the 1.48 update and updated the tray importer itself.

I opened another topic actually, describing some of the glitches I've been having since installing the update. I was thinking that I messed it up somehow and that's the cause of all of these problems.
