"Required game data is missing or damaged"

hi. i installed the latest update with strangerville. i placed the files as instructed, but the game won't even start. it pops up an error message that says "Unable to start: Cannot start because required game data is missing or damaged. Please repair or reinstall the game via Origin". thanks in advance.

Delete "Game_2" folder. If nothing changes go to Documents\Electronic Arts and move The Sims 4 folder to desktop. This will start the game fresh, you can move saves back later. If that doesn't solve the problem, run the validator again, but this time uncheck "quick scan".

Well those two files are corrupted:
data/client/clientdeltabuild1.package
data/client/thumbnailsdeltapack1.package
Try extracting them again from StrangerVille release. Use the newest 7-zip.
