Use 2 Electronic Arts folders for playing?
Hello,
First of all I know it's not the topic for this but I can't start writing here without thanking you... I'm sorry for being a "ghost" I use that forum since almost 10 years but never say thank you for all amazing work you're doing with sims games... So thank very much for letting us playing sims safely and finding solutions to all problems we met !
I'm a bit confused on where I can put my question so i'm sorry again and again...
Well i'm so boring with sims 4 (even with game fully updated to Strangeville) I came back to sims 3 i'm so excited! My question is: I use to play sims 4 with multiple "electronic arts" folders in "my documents" without any troubles I'd like to know if i can do the same with sims 3 ? I'd like a separate game from Non-CC, clean version of my game and CC downloads. I've installed sims 3 complete collection and store from G4TW!
Sorry for my english, i'm french!
Bests regards!

Hello (and welcome to your first Forum message I guess?),
You can create a secondary Windows account, and from there use your "second" Sims 3 profile, without having to do anything else.
If you don't want to create a new Windows account or switch, you can do it like me and simply keep renaming the folder "The Sims 3", under Documents\Electronic Arts. It works pretty much the same like in the other topic I wrote about The Sims 4:
https://www.games4theworld.club/t24433-i-have-both-origin-g4tw-versions-of-sims-4-how-can-i-manage-the-documents-folder
Is there a 'special' reason you want to do that? Because in The Sims 3, you can create new households easily, and in the main menu there are "pictures" of the families you created. Each picture represents a separate savefile. Not sure if you wanted to play with multiple saves, or maybe want to test different mods, but yes.
Good luck for now!

Re: Use 2 Electronic Arts folders for playing?
Great ! Thank you !! Yes for Sims 4 I simply rename the "electronic arts" folder as "electronic arts2"...
The idea came to me for sims 3 because this way I can check lots and worlds which contain CC and uninstall them easier if I eventually don't want to play with.. I check CC included with dashboard and it's ok for uninstalling the world or lot but for CC included it's (or can become) so hard!
Secondly maybe i'm wrong but I think my game will launch/be faster if I play several huge worlds separately instead of having the impression to launch my whole computer capacity lol..

Yes, the game loads faster if you have fewer store items installed. But if your computer is strong enough in terms of hardware, I don't think it makes a big difference. Feel free to try it yourself though.
