Overwatch Review.
Well, hello again folks! I just checked the posted threads here to see if someone made a review of this and luckily I'll be the first one.
I had a stay for a bit of my summer abroad at my uncle's place where he and his wife bought their kids Overwatch for PS4.
So, you know what I was doing most for nearly 2 weeks right?
I played the game with the younger boy who loves it just as much as the older one, except he's way more fun to play with since he's younger and his losing reactions are priceless
Anyways, let me tell you my thoughts on this great Blizzard Entertainment game!
The review
So, the first time I saw this game existed was via Youtube, and I bolted to the dark web as any of you would to find it for free....and that's when I hit a dead end and never got to play it.
Fortunately, this summer I got the chance to play on the PS4 as a few of the characters and I learned the ways of the game not just in shooting mode, but in the football mode that's only available in summer too!
What I absolutely love about this game is that the characters aren't just made and forgotten, but each has an origin story, where they're from how they were in Overwatch in the first place and how they ended up leaving and then how they once again returned.
So far, Tracer and Mei's intros are my favorites - but the one about Sombra isn't far behind either ( I'll provide you with the clips below).
Another thing I love the most, is of course the details effort the developers have put in this game - the graphics are outstanding and totally suiting today's abilities of modern graphic equipment and also the characters...where do I even start with this...there's such a huge choice of characters to play with and they're all different completely from one another. Their intros are all amazing and honestly, from this game people should really consider making an actual movie. I've seen a lot of the Overwatch fanbase members requested this on various social networks, let's hope some important Hollywood face has seen this and will give our dream a chance to become reality.
In the meantime, we'll just have to enjoy all the cool stuff the game has to offer. In other departments, I like all the maps, they've all got good hiding spots, good for the element of surprise to be put in good use and also there's more than just one type of game - people can make up a game for instance: If you move, you're dead - where you have stay still and try to survive. There's also hide and seek, just map recons or free loot box games and many more.
Yes, the loot boxes - another feature that I love a lot from this game - when you play and earn a title such as Play of the Game, or Best Time or something you get a loot box ( i think there's more ways than just playing a player's loot box map or earning a title to get these but correct me if I'm wrong). which contains player skins, new spray paint logos, country flags and other things which I don't know because I haven't gotten those in my two weeks of playing it.
These are also pretty cool because you earn things you otherwise might not get via the store or with codes. Plus, it's just more fun to earn than to enter a bloody code and get the loot right?
All in all, this game is a blast - seriously and I do hope they continue working on it as they have so far - another reason why I love it - they always have new updates, new maps and other new stuff that is fun to use in-game.
Here's my favorite Overwatch clips now:
~ Tracer being her adorable self as always, and the kid describing us all ~
~ My favorite Mei clip, and she is so adorable, and the lil robot is cute as well ~
~ this is actually hilarious I couldn't imagine these two getting kicked out of a bar ~
~ And last but not least, a clip with Sombra, Reaper and Widowmaker ~
Well, that's it for this game's review I hope you liked it! Stick around for something new soon!

Thanks for the post!
Now since I am a fan of the genre ("similar" games I played were PvZ: Garden Warfare 1/2 and Team Fortress 2), I was thinking of buying Overwatch myself. How do you evaluate the character balancing in the game, overall? Garden Warfare 'traditionally' offers unbalanced character classes, as Zombies tend to be slightly more powerful.
Also, what about longterm-engagement in the game? Does the game offer incentives to keep playing it over a longer period of time, by means of e.g. unlock-able abilities or bonus characters?

Re: Overwatch Review.
Hi, Ghostm4n!! Thanks so much for your reply - now to answer these two questions as far as I know the most powerful character for me at least was Reaper and possibly Agent 76. Widowmaker and the angel-looking one whose name I can't remember of are not that far behind as well. D.Va is definitely awesome too.
Also, yes there's unlockables - those loot boxes I mentioned, they give you skins, logos and other small cool things but I'm not sure if they give characters as well. If you buy the game you should get them all though, my friend has it for PS4 and he has all characters plus some codes for some stuff for some of them ( one of the codes was for Widowmaker's gun for a newer one I think?) Anyways, about the character classes they vary. Every character has their own straight and weakness, as I mentioned above those are some of the most used ones - and now I recalled the vine guy who has this ultimate ability to roll out a tire thing and kill everything in front of him - that I and my friend used to gain Play Of The Game every time. I'd definitely recommend it to you if you can afford it in the near future ( Christmas sounds good, plenty of discounts lel ).

Thanks for the info!
I saw the "GOTY" (Game of the Year) Edition in the retail store last weekend, but for the moment I refrained from buying as it cost 60 Euros. Though I'll definitely give the game a try, one of these days!
