Is Something Wrong With My Installation?

I think my freelance career is glitched or something. I regret installing it.
When I select a gig, the 'invite over co-stars and director' and the 'delete' buttons don't work when clicked.
The gig stays stuck on the due date and never shows me any tasks.
I perform random tasks and on that due date it still says that my sim has failed the required work.
Is this how it is supposed to be or is something wrong?

The second-best advice I can give is to try the new in-game interactions with a fresh Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder. So without mods/CC and cache files. See if these in-game interactions work, and then go from there.

I've tried playing a bit with that computer-freelancer job, and while I didn't encounter anything 'special', I may try again later. Possibly even with another one of these careers.
