Sims stuck in room - how do I enter Build Mode in another lot?

My sims are stuck saying that a wardrobe and a bed are in their way. They're visiting another Sim in their home, so I don't have access to Build Mode. Is there a way for me to physically move either the objects or the Sims to a different location using a cheat?

Hello and welcome to the Forum,

I'm assuming you're able to zoom out somehow (for a lack of a better description on my end). Open the cheat console with CTRL + SHIFT + C. Type in testingcheats true, and hit enter.

You should now try and hold the SHIFT key, and then click somewhere - outside I suppose. Do you get an option that offers teleportation?
