Sims launcher won't open & registration code Empty Sims launcher won't open & registration code

When I updated the game to the latest version, the game laucher didn't open and before I updated it, it asked me for the ea registration code. What can I do?

Hello and welcome to the G4TW Forum!

If you got your stuff from G4TW, did you also install at least one of the DLCs (expansion or stuffpack)? It is necessary to have at least one of these DLCs alongside the base game, otherwise using that "Ultimate Fix" won't work.

That aside...the launcher is very glitchy. The only time I would try using it is when you want to install .sims3pack world files. As for everything else, there are .package format store items, which can be installed/used without the launcher. You can also start the game "directly", after having installing at least one DLC and after applying the manual patch + Ultimate Fix.

Go under C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. use the TS3W.exe for starting up the game.
