MAJOR Sims 3 Issue.[SOLVED]

Hi all --
I'm having a big issue with trying to install any of the Sims 3 games. I've followed all the instructions on how to install the games properly and the Ultimate Fix (multiple times). However, no matter what I install, whether it be just the base game or with some expansions, I have the same problem. All the text is missing from the launcher and when I try to load the game I just get a black screen. I have tried the fix for missing in-text game but that doesn't work. I've already re-installed the entire game twice. Any ideas? My computer is more than capable of running the game. Thanks!

Ahhh...I feel stupid. But I went ahead and did a complete uninstall (deleted all the registry items left behind too), restarted and then started reinstalling each game (with a restart in between each game for good measure). As easy as that fix was, that's probably the last thing I would have thought of. Thanks!! The game works great
