need help !! issue with the sims 3. [SOLVED]

Hi there!

I recently noticed a problem while playing The Sims 3. Everything worked fine, but now none of my sims gets older. Neither the sims I am playing with, nor the neighbours. I checked the settings and I applied the latest version of the fix but nothing happens. At first, the "clock" stopped (i.e it was 2 p.m everytime), but I fixed that problem. Now, they are at the same age level, (i.e 23 days) day after day!

Any help?

Did you check the aging settings in the "Options" menu? (In-game)

Yes I checked that. They should be able to grow up but they don't... Should I uninstall the game?

In the worst case we could try a reinstalling, but for now, let's try some other things.
Do you have any Custom Content and/or any Mods?

sorry my native language is French and I don't have any idea what "mod" and "custom content" might be. Could you try with other terms so I can check if these are installed or not on my game? Thanks

Custom Content and/or Mods means extra stuff that you added to the game. Did you downloading any extra stuff to the game? For example: extra clothes, hair styles, objects etc.

No i didn't. although I added the pack received with "Ambitions" (a new hair style and some clothing)

Please try deleting everything you added to the game and then restart it. See if it makes any difference.

Please be sure you removed EVERYTHING from your Mods/CC folder(s) and from your launcher.
Especially the (My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods folder should be deleted.

I can't find that folder so I took a picture of the The Sims 3 folder.
I hope this might help you to tell me what to do next.

The folder you took a picture from is the folder I asked you to remove some folders from.
Besides that, please also remove the "Downloads" folder and try again.

I removed "Download". it still does not work. Which other ones do I have to remove?

I also noticed that the neighbours do not age when my sim buy a
birthday-cake for them. Although my sim age when I made him buy a
birthday-cake ! So strange ... I really hope someone might help me with
this problem...

Ok, please do as following:

1. Completely uninstall all The Sims 3 games + Expansions and everything else.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Reinstall the game(s) following EXACTLY these instructions carefully: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
