What does "Codex" do on the Gallery? [SOLVED]

Hello,

This is the group who created the No-Origin-Patch for this game. In general it's common practice in these cracked games that the in-game name shows the name of the group that created the No-CD patch.

You can edit that "CODEX" name with the following method:

But in my opinion there is not really a point in doing so...unless you are into creating houses and then sharing the Tray-files on certain websites.

I've never seen what a legal copy of this game looks like so I didn't know.

If you want to put it that way, then yes, this is just a username that sits there, and which does not fulfill any function whatsoever. Clicking on it is pointless in the cracked Sims 4, because you will just get some error.

In a legit Origin version of The Sims 4 you instead have your Origin account name there, and if you click on it another window will pop up I believe, that contains all your creations that you uploaded to the Gallery.

You can safely ignore that, or if it really bothers you, then use the tutorial that I linked to in my previous message here. The point is, if you were planning on extracting Tray files (= the files associated with houses or households that you create in-game), and upload your creations to certain websites, everybody could then see the "CODEX" name on your creations. They could then deduct that your game is cracked. But then you could use the tutorial that I linked before here to change the CODEX to a name of your own liking. This is pretty much the only practical relevance of this thing.

If people themselves just give an indication that their problem is solved, then they don't need to do anything, as the rest is handled by the mod-/admins-team.
