Sims Crashes Since Uni update

i have DL'ed ur Uni update and now my game crashes as soon as it loads up, I get the first "THE SIMS" screen then it goes the the loading screen u c when moving between places n such and then it crashes.


please can i gets some assistance XD

hio, so i looked into a few things while trying to b idle, i found that there is not "The Sims 4" application in the Game folder, only a "The Sims 4 x64", i loaded it up with that version and it loaded fine, not sure if this was a error on u guys part or not.

e.i. you do not have the normal version of the application in ur provided folder

Check what i said n try that, game might load up fine, if it doesnt please keep watch here as this will still b open till its resolved.

Yes, there is no 32-bit Support anymore with this update. So you have to use the 64-bit version of the game, under Game => Bin => TS4_x64.exe. I apparently also forgot to remove that particular point from the installation guide, so keep that in mind too everybody.

The 64 version crashes for me too *sad face*

I still have my game crash out when i load in my houseplay. I did everything as mentioned in how to install uni, and even run as adminitrator the ts64.exe  SO please please if you can help me! I couldn't wait until now and it's so disappointing i can't play it yet  
Hope we will find a sollution!

Did you also rename or move out your The Sims 4-folder under Documents\Electronic Arts, to start the game with a 'clean slate'? This new update is super-prone to breaking with almost any type of CC in it...

No i didn't move it, didn't even touch the saved folder. Should i do it? I have tons of cc sadly, but i created a new sim and the game ran for hours without crash. I get the crash if i want to load the sims household no matter if it's new created or old saved.

You should try every possibility, but yes...

It seems right now that we'll wait for another hotfix from EA, because of that disaster they created with this update.

I see. Should i put my the sims 4 folder from the documents to my desktop? And do a copy from the save folder?

Yes, move everything to the desktop temporarily. See for example the other comment here:

Don't know about savefiles, maybe you can leave them in. Or move them out as well, as you prefer.

Ok so i put my The sims 4 folder from the Documents to my Desktop and.. The game just doesn't recognize my saves anymore. But they are there as before  I guess here is the bug/problem , that the game can't handle the saves with this new dlc. Hope it will get a hotfix soon! I will leave my The sims 4 folder on my desktop, but if you have any more tips I'm listening!

Me too i have the exact same issue and I've tried to reinstall the whole game cuz i wanted to play university sooo bad :noooooooooooooI guess it's the best just to wait patiently for the solution now.

It still didn't work and i had to go back to the previous patch version. My new game is in 32 bit now idk how to change it back to 64bit.  

After long analysis finally i found the solution to stop the crashes with cc and with ur save games , follow these steps:

1. when you click on load game and then ur save part and then u will see a final loading window (its normal)
2. now you have to do this trick(well it works for me , so i am sharing this idea)
3. click alt+tab and continusly minimize ur game window and desktop window 4-5 times with 10 seconds of break and finally ur game will load.
4. enjoy ur game will not crash now untill next start

ultimately what i found is continusly loading windows gives EA scripts to get crash but by simultanosly minimizing and maximizing the windows will give ur game gets loaded.
do this trick to play until nex update

start your task manager at same time during final loading screen and click on performance tab, and minimize the game window until it reaches to 4.85-5 gb of load , then again maximize the game window.

*Most imP*- Do replace the "game" folder with "game" subfolder provided by Ghostman, before doing this trick. i hope now this trick will work

Regardless of which (obscure) fixes may be able to solve this issue...no word yet from EA about any potential hotfix. So "happy Simming", for what it's worth!

Maybe there will be some 5 GB "mini-patch" on Origin again (that does not fix anything), before Christmas...? So if anybody here believes in Santa Claus, you know what to write in your wish-letter...

Eh yeah.. EA is still being so after money only, doesn't even care if we can't even play the game.. (okey not mention that they won't see any money from us since the cracked game but still..) 
I found an other cracked university patch on a hungarian site, and the girl who shared it uses tons of ccs, and her game is working  I don't know if it's only this patch, or the problem is within my game, but i can link the stuff here if it would help even a little. I still hope i will be able to play with it again in this year, with my ccs. Would be a shame if i couldn't play just if i delete my ccs. (i still didn't try out if i remove all the ccs would work the game, but i think i will try it later this week. I will update here with a comment about it)

Have you tried using that new patch that you saw...? There is indeed a new mini-patch out now, see the G4TW repack here for example too:

The patch notes do say something about "savefile loading issues fixed", but I don't know to what extent that patch is a real remedy for these CC issues...

One little question, do i need to delete the game folder before i install this patch?

It's not a 100% necessity; I just put this in our installation guides for increased safety and for new users. If you deleted the Game-folder in the past already, then you should not have to do it again. So you can just copy-paste the new updates, on top of it.
