Which mods are working and which ones are not for Sims 4 Patch 1.59.73.1020
Well, Is ime to update the Best and Most Awesome Life Simulation PC Game Ever, yet again! modders have been caught by surprise as we have, once again, so do not expect all mods that you use to be updated fast, they were still working on bug fixes from the prior patch. One bit of good news: Your Sims shall not shower forever and get stuck there! Hopefully! This does not mean that old CC showers will magically work again, NO! You will still need to get rid of all your old CC showers, prior to University, since their problem is Tuning files and they either need to be updated by the creators or by you, if you are Mod Savvi. Here is the link to the HTML list of mods, look at the dates on which the mods were updated!
Note: This list is not compiled or endorsed by G4TW Club or its Administrators, it is a link provided to our members as a public service. Always remove the Mods folder, Saves and Tray Files before you update your game, make a backup of these folders and files, just in case something does goes wrong.
Update: I was misinformed! In an attempt to fix the problem with CC showers, with this latest patch EA messed up the showers tuning once more and guess what? Your Sims take endless showers
I'm seeing the same issue in my own game, thanks for the report! This is an e-mail I got from SimGuruNick.
I just can't stop laughing They go to fix something and make it worst! Well, he said there will be a new patch soon
//EDIT
Alert! We are not talking about CC showers here, but EA showers also. Your Sims will get stuck there forever! A quick word of advice, switch your showers for tubs if you do not want to corrupt your saves. Back-up all your saves. Maybe the Sims team will get it right the third time is the charm, or so they say!
//EDIT
Update #2 I have been conversing with SimGuru Nick, which is the only one that seems to admit to the errors-horrors of these latest patches, since University came out. The question being to patch or not? Since he admits to a new patch coming out, but when, since the Sims team is breaking for Christmas and leaving you the gift of a game ridden with bugs! Yes, the bugs are worst after this latest patch. You have UI scaling problems
See the pretty white spot, if you don't have it, don't touch your UI scaling!
For those who are lucky enough that their sims do not get stuck in the shower, you will then need a cheat to up their needs, because they showers will leave them dirty, LMAO. Also they don't get relief by using the toilet, so you will end up with funny walking looking sims forever, LOL!
For what we've discuss thus far, all the bugs have to do with tuning, I guess we should be glad they did not break any more CC items. Then again, what good is a shower or a toilet, if the tuning is broken! Another problem is that depending on which language you play the game with, you will have problems with Sims attending classes. As you can imagine, people are getting angrier by the minute and conversations have stopped for now. You just can't have a mature conversation when people are taking out their anger on you. Although, I understand, a most awaited expansion has turned into a nightmare due to poor development to make some fast cash!

Wait, wait, wait! So you're saying that despite the length of the recent patch notes (which is almost like a short story), the game is still broken?!
Back in my days you used to push until the end, that means you work at least until December 23rd before you "leave for Christmas". And certain professions also have to be there, during holidays too.
But oh well! Everything is so softened up nowadays, everybody gets a trophy for everything, ... god, I sound so grumpy right now, even though I myself am not that old either.

Re: Which mods are working and which ones are not for Sims 4 Patch 1.59.73.1020
Yes, my dear friend; actually the patch has made matters worst, if we can phantom that idea. I hear you, I have no idea what it is, but I'm also on edge and tired According to the Sim Guru there will be another patch after this all -encompassing one. While I was chatting, I was so on edge that I just could not stop laughing. I even discussed with him getting rid of most my CC and start collecting fresh, after This University From Friday the 13th deal, but it doesn't matter, this time they manged to break their own stuff . I am not computer or mod expert, but I think I could do a better job at testing their games than the people they have on payroll.The_gh0stm4n wrote:Wait, wait, wait! I always get back to Twallan and his Master Controller Mod for Sims 3 and it seems we are going in the same direction for Sims 4. The only good thing about this patches and Expansion has been that I have deleted a bunch of mods. I spent hours on a build, yesterday; saving and checking and everything was fine, went to work on it later and I got an error code and a last exception. Wasted some more time trying to pin=point the bad CC, could not find it, got mad and deleted the whole thing and started a new one

It's probably not a high priority for the actual developers, to test their game together with (random) mods/CC, or do some testing in general. Then again, this does not merely apply to EA.

I can understand a bit if people paid money for it, though they should really know, or have informed themselves by now, that the quality of most of these EA games is sub-par, at best. But if you follow e.g. this Forum here or similar platforms more closely (where there are free downloads available), you will notice pretty much the same type of negativity.
Like, people beefing with me about some random issue with a +5 year-old life simulation PC game, or otherwise causing drama related to the policies/rules on G4TW. Usually male-gendered users (a minority on this platform btw), and usually a sign that they are trying to "compensate" for either real or perceived real-life issues. No worries though, problem users disappear very quickly here.
Another partial explanation is that these issues still stem from the era of the old Admin on G4TW, who basically let almost everything pass in terms of moderation. Which is an area that I myself am the exact opposite.
I promise though, everybody will eventually get used to my medicine. And if the medicine is too bitter? Feel free to "EWO" (easy-way-out), just like a certain former guest contributor on here did. Or stay away from the platform altogether. After all, everybody can access the download links and tutorial boards without registration or any interaction with other users.

Actually, I wasn't talking about the forum when I mentioned the angry mob, LOL. I was talking that the Sim Guru left the chat after people started getting personal. To me personally is just a game, which has lost its charm ude to poor development, then again EA's track record in gaming, as you mentioned is not good.The_gh0stm4n wrote:Freezer Bunny wrote:

So I looked at the Twitter of TheSims, and - as always - these comments crack me up so hard. Like the people here engaging in a (pseudo-)philosophical discussion about what an update "should/should not/does not/cannot" contain:

Re: Which mods are working and which ones are not for Sims 4 Patch 1.59.73.1020
That is exactly what I was talking about before, I mean, I go into their accounts, right after a patch and get some pop-corn and just enjoy the show, until someone just breaks down Some of these reasonings are hilarious. Today, for a change, I went into The Sims 4 Official forums just to gauge the bug complaints.The_gh0stm4n wrote:So I looked at the Twitter of TheSims, and - as always - these comments crack me up so hard. You know what, I have decided all of this here "cannot" be! I mean, a broken Sims game, before Christmas?! I'll come up with something shortly.

No worries, nothing negative. I got a few little surprises in mind, since Christmas is coming soon. See the post in the VIP Lounge.

I've improved the "visibility" of that external link for now.
In the meantime it's worth emphasizing again, that any attempt whatsoever at listing incompatible mods is going to be futile in the grand scheme of things. After all, there are quite a lot of CC creators. Also, what most Simmers underestimate (unless they are "OGs" like me or grieralexander) is that these lists cannot take into account that certain mod combinations can cause trouble. So you can have a situation where you have a mod A that works fine if you use. Then you have a mod B that also works fine when you use it, in an isolated fashion. But when you use both mods A & B at the same time, you will get problems. And this is a very simplified example situation.
But please don't let yourself get discouraged by my comment. The listing on that external site can be a first step, but by no means should it be your only source of information/help. There will be no alternative to grinding your CC manually, one way or another.

Re: Which mods are working and which ones are not for Sims 4 Patch 1.59.73.1020
Updating my main mods or script mods are my first step, always. Then is all the other CC. @The_gh0stm4n pointed out, there is also the chance of mods, specially those that modify traits, that one needs to be careful at the time of placing them; usually, when you download them they will have a section of which files they modify and what are the chances of bugging your game if you have a file that modifies those files. When you start downloading CC, like furniture and clothes, etc; try to stick with modders you trust and that at any eventuality with their CC, they are willing to give you support. I am learning the hard way that when it comes to this game, as far as mods are concern, less is better. A good way to test furniture is to place all those that you are unsure about in a lot and place one sim. If the game does not crash and does not give you problems and lets you save and play, that bunch is OK. The same thing with CAS, create a Sim with all CC that may be bugged and test how it looks in game! not only in CAS but in game. Since sometimes CC has names in different languages or names that we do not know, it is good to have Sims Tray Importer, since all CC used in Sims or a build will be listed there, with the capability to open the folder where is at. Other than that we do not have a reliable tool to let us know when a mod is bugged or broken.wiseiam wrote:hi, sorry if i misunderstood the title but i thought there was a list or something on here about mods with the new patch? maybe i'm just not seeing it? help plz! and thank you...
