The Sims 4 (How Can I Update?)

Hi Guys, so here is my issue that hopefully someone on here can help me with.
So I have download "The Sims 4 v1.55.105.1020 + DLCs (selectable), MULTi17 [anadius]" Version: 1.55.105.1020 and was wondering
if there was such a way for me to update my game to the latest version without losing any of my saved games. (Sim Families)
I have the Sims 4 based game plus all of the stuff/expansion packs but seem to be getting an error when placing
mods or lots (houses) telling me I can't use such items because I do not have an updated version of the game. "Cannot place content because it was created with a newer version of the game".  
I do not have Origin. If anyone could help me solve this issue I would appreciate it. Thanks

You can download any update, from any repacker, and it should not affect your existing savefiles. You can back up your saves though before updating, to be 100% safe.

If you want to support us, you can try G4TW's repacks here. At first apply Discover University:

Then apply the latest patch:
https://www.games4theworld.club/t35696-the-sims-4-discover-university-mega-patch-version-1-59-73-1020-out-now

Just open the downloads with 7-zip (it's a free program, search it). And then drag & drop the contents into your The Sims 4 installation. Replace existing files when prompted.
