The Sims 4 - New Patching method & possible replacement for the TS4 Must-Read?!

Everything you need to know is in the installation text guide (or the supplementary video guide), and the "additional notes". Make sure to read everything carefully. Also bear in mind that initial seeding will be slow, and we may not be able to seed everything in one, or even two days. Be patient.

You cannot comment under the thread linked above, but I will leave this announcement here open for a while so you can ask any questions. Or you can also simply open a topic under the TS4 Support section, as always.

Credits to @anadius for creating those additional tools (the dlc-toggler.exe/dlc.ini), and to @SeoY and @Sim Architect for some advice in the background! I also don't know if ~Ann~ wants to put the video on the Linkvertise, I guess she will, but if that is an issue, then by all means wait out the period of one week.

Now you can comment below. I don't expect anybody to actually read eveything, but let's see. WILL this be a possible replacement for the TS4 Must-Read on G4TW? Let me know.

And again everybody: because of my internet problems I am unable to seed "properly". Therefore, we cannot guarantee (unlike with our normal TS4 repacks) that the seeding will be completed within just a few hours. Please be patient, and wait for further comments from us about the state of the torrents.

That looks cool! It will help those people who check in irregularly, only for expansion packs, for example! Thanks to everybody involved in bringing this new and helpful format to us here!

Oh, and one thing more:

After you installed the "Basegame [FIXED]", and you decide to proceed with the Legacy/Global Patches, please DELETE your "Game"-subfolder before applying said patches. That is mentioned in both the text guide and the video walkthrough as well. Later on I will try and embed the video somewhere (no, not on YouTube), so you can directly view it within the thread there.

 

I left the old Game-folder in the format, because I thought there are users who might want to play just the vanilla basegame.
