SIMS 3 BASE GAME Disc Authorisation Failure.[SOLVED]

Hi I'm sorry if this has been posted in the wrong place, new to the site.... Hopefully I'm doing this right lol....
I downloaded my Sims 3 base game following all the installation instructions, but when I load the game whether it be via launcher, or ts3, it runs but only up until the point where the neighbourhoods should be accessed.. it then gives the message 'Disc Authorisation Failure - We are unable to verify that your disc is a valid copy of The Sims 3. Please contact customer service.' I've been searching for help on this over the past 48 hours but found nothing that works Tried re-installing the game, using different keygens etc but no luck. Please help???

Thanks for replying, I clicked on the video link to help me download the file but it said that I must have The Sims 3 Generations and/or Town life to contine - but I have no expansion packs at all at the moment.... I'm still having trouble getting my base game to work :/ (Getting the message I mentioned above). Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

Hello,
If your base game came from G4TW, it also has a crack. If you copy that to the game\bin folder, you should be able to start your game, but only if you didn't install any patches yet.
If you did install a patch, you wont be able to use the crack and you'll have to get either one of the following: Generations, Town Life Stuff, Pets or Master Suite stuff. With one of those expansionpacks, you can use the fix and that will fix your problem.

Here's a copy of how my game/bin folder looks. (if it works) .... I downloaded it from The
Pirate Bay but I know it definitely has a crack with it because I
downloaded from there before and it worked. I don't know how I've messed
it up this time, how do I know if I've downloaded a patch? Sorry I'm
not the best with computers lol.

Hello,
You could tell by opening the launcher and looking at the game version, or open the text document called skuversion in this folder you're showing us. It should probably be 1.0.xxx.

The game launcher says that the version I have is 1.0.631.00002 - I did update the game to the latest version, but had the same message so thought that was the problem.. I re-installed without updating and now have this version, but with the same message coming up. In the skuversion folder I have the following -

Hello,

If you update, the base game won't work as a standalone game any more, since the crack is out-dated. Now you must install one of the required expansions and then apply this Fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

Does the version I have show that I've updated a patch? I thought uninstalling it and installing again would revert it back to the original non updated version... but I do have pets downloading at the moment, it's on 85% lol so do you suggest I just download that and then your fixer? Will this then allow me to install future expansion packs without the same problem? Sorry for all the questions lol and thanks for your help

I'm still being given the option to update my game via the launcher, so assumed I don't have the updated version anymore, and that it should be working but it isn't

Hello,
I think your current version is ok to work with the crack, but for me, it has been a long time since I've used just the base game.
After you install Pets, you should be able to update to the latest (1.29) version your game should work with the fix.

Everytime I open the launcher, it asks me if I want to update.. should I do this before installing pets and the fixer, or after?

You'll be asked to update before you can install Pets, so you might as well get it over with Wink

I installed Pets on to my computer, then I downloaded the fix and followed the instructions on the video. When I then opened the launcher, I saw that I now have version 10.0.96.014001 - I clicked play (I have also tried this through ts3) I get the message
'It looks like you have installed an unofficial game modification that does not match your current version of The Sims 3. We reccommend that you either uninstall these game modifications or get updated versions of them - otherwise you may experience crashes or significant bugs. Do you want to quit?'
.... Then giving me the option to Quit or Continue. I clicked Continue anyway, ran the game, got to the neighborhood as before (Pets seems to be installed OK) and had the same message I was experiencing before - 'Disc Authorisation Failure - We are unable to verify that your
disc is a valid copy of The Sims 3. Please contact customer service.'

Hello,
Yes that will do thank you.
Lets see.. I see a folder named Crack there that doesn't belong, the second one from the top. And your TS3W and TSLHost.dll are not the right version.
If you open the fix you downloaded before, and open the #crack folder, you'll see TS3W and TSLHost.dll there, copy those 2 and paste them into the folder you're showing here, replacing your current ones. So if Windows asks you if you want to overwrite these 2, say yes.
After that, your game should work just fine. Please let us know the result!

When I download future expansion packs will I need the fix again?

Hello,
Good to hear its working Smile

When you install other expansions, you can just run their setup and try the game. If it doesn't work, simply reapply the crack you just applied. Don't use any of the cracks that came with the games though, they're outdated.
Note that each new game version requires a new crack so if you ever want to patch your game, make sure you stop by the forum first to see whether the fix has been updated, or join the The Sims (3) fangroup to receive newsletters whenever something new is released.

Ok I will do, thanks again, been playing for a few hours until the game crashed .. the game encountered a problem and needs to close hope it's not the start of things to come lol, but thank you for that anyway. If I have any more problems should I post here or start a new thread?

It's recommended to save often and to completely restart your game every now and then.
