Endless loading screen.
hey, you probably get this one a lot
I got a new laptop and moved over all my GFTW sims 4 files from my old hard drive to my new. The only game I redownloaded onto the new laptop from GFTW was the base game with the installation programme. When I start my game however it loads fine to the main screen, which shows me all of my dlc is installed up to Tiny Living. Then when I click the play button I get stuck on the loading screen and never reach the worlds option. I have no script mods downloaded yet. I transferred my old save files over and theyre showing up fine. I moved my Sims 4 folder out of the EA folder to programefilesx86.
Any idea why i'm getting stuck on the loading screen?

Hello @roseyem,
You said you transferred the stuff from your old computer, but what was the reason you re-installed (?) the base game, then? Or am I misunderstanding something? First of all, make sure to DELETE your "Game"-subfolder from your TS4 installation. Then add a fresh-folder from whatever your latest update is, which seems to be Tiny Living.
If that fails, then run anadius's validator, and post the results of the validator log in a follow-up reply:

Re: Endless loading screen.
Hey
I re-installed the basegame because although I had all the files for TS4 from my old computer I needed the install key to set up basegame.
Sorry for the late reply, I managed to solve the issue in the end. Think it was by moving TS4 out of the EA file

I'm sorry, but what do you mean by "install key", if I may ask?

Re: Endless loading screen.
Sure, I've probably got the term wrong sorry.
But when I transferred the base game files to my new laptop it didnt include the installation file/program , so although I had the rest of the files for the game I couldnt actually set it up on my new laptop. So I downloaded just the basegame with the installation file, installed it and then added all my other DLC files once it was working.
Hope that made sense
