Need help to install Sims 3 downloaded CC.

Haven't played in a while... Where do I put my downloaded cc?  Help please.  Reputable sites, but unsure how to install.

Unlike with TS4, you need to create your Mods-folder manually in TS3. The quick guide here sows you what to do:

Note that the guide is mostly about .package files, and yes, most CC for The Sims 3 are .package files too. But if you have some .sims3pack files, you can either use CC Magic, or put them under your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads location, and then use the "launcher" to install them.

You can start the launcher in The Sims 3, with the Sims3LauncherW.exe, which you can find under C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
