Food keeps depleting. Help? Sims 2 Castaway Stories Empty Food keeps depleting. Help? Sims 2 Castaway Stories

Hi, I keep encountering the problem where the food keeps on depleting (but not the resources). This happens in the Story Mode and sometimes in Free play mode (Wanmami Island). I have no problem having Sim and his pet to go out to work but it gets really annoying when 1 food depletes every few seconds.
I am using Windows 10 Pro laptop, 64x bit operating system. Please help, thank you! Very Happy
