sims 3 generations asks for update!! PLEASE HELP!! [SOLVED]

Hi! I'm new here so I hope I'm doing this right... 
Recentely my SIMS 3 - generations started freezing and I made the mistake of uninstalling both games (after other attempts) and now everytime I try to play there's some crazy error.
Now I finally got SIMS 3 to work so I thought GENERATIONS would work now but it asks me to update my SIMS 3 base game and you keep telling us to NOT UPDTATE TO VERSION 1.31 and that's the exact version it updates to!
Please help! I've been over this for 2 days now

I did install the fix the other times though... but i'll see!

I installed the patch and it updated perfectly. When I went to install generations it went great and now when I open the luncher it says "the base game is incompatible. Please update you version" =/
I applied the fix as usual (although it said to skip number 11 but number is about town life stuff... *sigh* is there anything I'm doing wrong? (i'm sure there is).

Maybe you're using an outdated fix? Step 11 is supposed to be about opening the launcher to update.

Unfortunately it still asks for an update when I open the genrations launcher... 
it says something like "your SIMS 3 base game is incompatible with the expansion you installed. Please update" now I'm not sure if it means update base game OR generations but either way it doesn't work...
maybe I should just wait for the new 1.31 fix to come out...

Showtime is out so its safe to patch to 1.31 now. The fix should be updated soon, in case you're not interested in getting Showtime.

yes it is! I updated to 3.31 and used the new fix and everything works perfectly! thank you again and keep up the amazing work!
