Hi all,

I've just reinstalled my copy of the ultimate bundle of the sims (downloaded not form here/you can't install base game first and add-ons later, just all-in-one) because I've noticed the camera bug.

Now I just followed your guide step by step. When it comes to the patching step (#11), I open the launcher, which tells me that there is an update available. When hitting the "update now" button nothing happens. Afterwards I recognized, that the launcher doesn't even notices an installed copy of the "base game" and the "generations" add-on as seen on the screenshot. Manual Patching doesn't work as well. You may imagine which error shows up Wink (Setup noticed, that no copy of The Sims 3 is installed)

Please help me out! I'm just trying it since 7 hours.

Please download and apply this manual patch: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v131-fix-manual-patch-updated

After applying it, please re-download and re-apply the latest version of the Ultimate Fix.

I guess I just know the problem.
Could anyone please upload the registry files for The Sims 3? I'll fix the paths and then it should work.

You didn't specify why the manual patch doesn't work.
Do you get an error?

actually I just quoted which error shows up.

Manual Patching doesn't work as well. You may imagine which error shows up Wink (Setup noticed, that no copy of The Sims 3 is installed)

I'm having the same problem, but not with my base game but with showtime. I uninstalled and then reinstalled everything. The launcher is not showing the showtime icon as highlighted. It says its not installed but I have it installed. My game is updated to version 1.31, and I've applied the ultimate fix to base game and all extension packs except showtime since that's already version 1.31, but when I go to play the game I get the game modification error.

I can't believe you guys overlooked the fact that what Enkhiel is describing sounds awfully like a modified installer. Trollemote
Anyway, I don't think its going to work with a modified installer/all-in-one in installation of the base and the expansions. You may have to consider redownloading your games from G4TW

Please open a new topic. That will make it easier for us to give more personal support. The issue may look the same on the outside but I think the solution for your problem is quite different Smile.

Hello,

Yes yes! Lady ElDi was right. That is a modified installer. When you use a modified installer, your PC (and/or your game) won't recognize the game and it may cause (a lot of freaking nasty) problems.

I recommend you remove The Sims 3 base game from your PC and then use the Games4theworld version of the base game. That should relieve the pain.

The Games4theworld version of the base game can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org and is called "The Sims 3".
