The Sims 3 - Minor pauses in game after updating to v1.33
Hi there!
I was wondering if any of you could help me or have experienced this.
Since I've updated my Sims 3 to v1.33 (or as far as I know around then), in game I've started having short pauses sometimes, most noticeable when using High/Ultra Speed play. They last a couple of seconds and are quite frequent, a couple a minute or so. It's not a major problem but a little annoying as you could probably guess. Beforehand I was on v1.31 and it worked fine then as far as I know. My computer specs are totally fine so I don't think it's related to that.
When the game pauses, the clock freezes momentarily and the sim stops moving but any small graphics don't stop (eg: like water when watering plants or the plumbob).
Any ideas what it could be or suggestions?
Thank you!

Hello,
This is known as game lag and it's quite common in all versions of the game. It can be caused by mods/cc, so if you have any try disabling them for the moment.
It also happens more frequently in large towns with bad routing issues and/or lots of sims. Sims can get stuck.
Bridgeport is notorious for bad routing, as is Twinbrook.

Hi and thanks for your reply!
Yeah, it's like that, I just always thought lag was multiplayer and internet based.
I haven't changed anything except updated to v1.33 and have no mods or custom content. I'm just using Riverview, and not much strange stuff is going on in the town really.
Before when I was using v1.31 it was absolutely fine and not had any issue before...
I do believe this is some kind of conflict as oppose to regular slowdowns...
Maybe I should reinstall and go back to v1.31?

What i did to fix that problem, was to put the Draw Distance setting on LOW (which can be found on the options menu of course) that way when you are playing in a house with your sim or sims the town wont mess with you or give you lagg cause the entire part will be disabled, you wont be able to see the entire town in a horizontal way but who cares? It fixes this and you feel no difference with the sorroundings.

Thank you, it appears to work totally fine now! But I wonder why it was totally fine with v1.31 and below...strange isn't it? Mmm...
Hopefully they'll update it again soon!
