SIMS 3 PETS CAT GLITCH. [SOLVED] Empty SIMS 3 PETS CAT GLITCH. [SOLVED]

My cats on the sims 3 pets look like monsters! They are huge, their fur is all jagged and messed up and they have big googly eyes. Their tails are bent and when they walk their body is all disformed and half is un-attached. Really annoying as it happens in create a family and when I adopt a cat and try to edit it.

What kind of graphicscard are you using?

Umm everythings up to date, I have like 5 cc items but I've run it without and I have the same problem :/ The graphics card I have is the NVIDIA Geforce 6800

Hello,

That card is officially supported. I used to have a whole list of cards that were actually having problems with Pets but after reinstalling my pc I lost that bookmark since I forgot to back them up Facepalm.
It says here to try turning on advanced rendering.

Hello,

The control panel can be brought up by right clicking on your desktop, from the menu that comes up.
But I have no idea what to tweak there to be honest everything works fine with my geforce 7600 and I'm afraid to touch it!

It's happening with dogs now too. If I adopt them from the shelter they're ok as puppies, but when they turn in to adults they look like the above

Hello,

You can find out by going to control panel > system a small window is displayed, look at the general tab, this displays your OS.

The last time I downloaded a driver from there it made all the fonts on my computer go small Shocked will this do the same thing?

Hello,

When was the last time? I remember the update being a real big hassle, but they changed the way it updates everything, which is great!
In the past, all your Desktop icons would get messed up after the updating. That's gone now, everything will (read: should) stay the same now.

I downloaded it and it hasn't changed any of my desktop items/ fonts luckily Smile The sims 3 is now telling me I have game updates and asking me to update to version:

Sims3_1.33.2.015002_from1.29.55.014002.exe

Should I apply this update before trying my game again to see if the problem's been fixed?

That's good so far.
Download and apply this manual patch instead: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v133-fix-manual-patch-updated

Now, after updating, re-download and re-apply the latest version of the Ultimate Fix here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems

Now test the game and let us know the result. Good luck!
