Sims 1 complete collection installation problem.[SOLVED] Empty Sims 1 complete collection installation problem.[SOLVED]

I just downloaded the Sims 1 complete collection, but I can't get step one of the guide to work. start.exe will not open, and neither will the setup thing from the youtube guide. Nothing happens when I try to open start.exe, and when I try to use the setup thing, a command window flashes onscreen for a split second and nothing else happens. Advice please?

Extract the file you downloaded with winRAR.
