The Sims 3 Error Message - PLEASE READ AND HELP! Empty The Sims 3 Error Message - PLEASE READ AND HELP!

I have bought and downloaded Sims 3, Sims 3 World Adventures, Sims 3 Generations, and Sims 3 Ambitions. I downloaded them different weeks in that order. Before I downloaded Ambitions, I started saving my games like usually after playing Sims 3 Generations. One day I launched the game and on the main screen where you see your saved towns/games, I clicked on my game Sunset Valley(but there was no house or no people showing, just dotted lines of a house and people), and it said "A serious error has occured while loading 'Sunset Valley.sims3' It is strongly recommended that your restart the application."

I restarted it millions of times and it still said the same thing. Then I created new sims and towns, saved the games, and tried to play the net day but it showed the same message again. Finally, I uninstalled all my Sims 3 games, restarted my computer, and reinstalled the games, and when I created a new town and sims, saved it, and got back on the next day, it showed the same error message! All my games are updated and everything but i dont know what else to do!



SOMEBODY HELP PLEAAAASSSEEE!

Did you, at some point, change the game's compatibility mode?

yes i did.. i used your post to do that and did the ultimate fix and made sure i installed the sims 3 correctly.. nothing is working.. i stil get the error message for my neighborhood the next day even after creating a new neighborhood.

Hello,

Yes the compatibility mode will do that to some users. You'll have to undo that on a registry level, like this. Also if you've uninstalled and reinstalled since.

So Im in the layers folder and it has listed:

(Default) REG_SZ (value not set)

SIGN.IE=0B3868... REG_SZ ELEVATECREATEPROCESS

//EDIT

i delete those?

No, only delete ones that are from The Sims 3.

Ok so i did all that because nothing for the sims 3 is in the layers folder.. just the 2 things that i mentioned above.. pleasee helpp me! lol .. omg .. ok so heres all the things ive done:

1. DEP for windows 7 as in the video

2. Undo compatibiliy mode (followed your post for that)

3. uninstalled and reinstalled ( this was the very first thing i tried when i was having prblems with neighborhood loading)

4. Sims ultimate fix

i think thats everyything i did so far..

any other advice? its still not working :'(

Hello,

Ok, go to My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves and see if your savegames have the bad extension.

Im not sure what that is but it the folders say:

Sunset Valley.sims3

Sunset Valley.sims3.backup

Hello,

Ok that's good.

While I waited for your reply, I looked around on Google and found that this error can sometimes be caused by antivirus real time scanning. For some people, turning that option off for the duration solved the issue.

You can also try to clear your cache's. The quickest way to do that is to go into My Documents\Electronic Arts, and drag and drop the entire The Sims 3 folder to your desktop. When you start the launcher, a new folder is generated in My Documents\Electronic Arts and you can copy your Saves and Downloads folders (and mods folder, if you have it) from the folder on your desktop to the new folder in My Documents\Electronic Arts.

Note that you'll have to reinstall all your sims3packs with the launcher if you try this.

Hello,

You can probably find out by going into your antivirus user interface. The help files should be uh, helpful lol.
I think it depends on which program you're using.
