Can't buy anything in Buy Mode.[SOLVED]

Okay, I got my sims base game here and also Late Night too. I applied the cracks and everything but when I go too my buy mode, it says that "Cannot be placed in this type of lot" thingy when I hover my mouse on the items. It's a residential lot. Okay, please don't ask me to update to the latest patch because I'm happy with 1.29 and all my mods are updated to 1.29 only, too.

Well you shouldn't have to update the game for this. But you are only using the base and late night? Where did you get the crack for 1.29?

I think it's still the best to update to v1.33. Most Mods are already updated to work with this version of the game. We can provide better support for 1.33 . Is there a specific reason why you do not want to update, except for the fact that you're afraid your Mods won't work any more?
