Can't buy anything in Buy Mode

Okay, I got my sims base game here and also Late Night too. I applied the cracks and everything but when I go too my buy mode, it says that "Cannot be placed in this type of lot" thingy when I hover my mouse on the items. It's a residential lot. Okay, please don't ask me to update to the latest patch because I'm happy with 1.29 and all my mods are updated to 1.29 only, too.

Hello,
Is it a Custom Content object you're trying to place? Do you get this error with all objects you try to place?
