The Sims Medieval - P&N
Hello everyone
Let's start saying that i've followed all the instruction posted on the "ultimate fix" topic, and i've also used downloaded copies of the game from game4theworld relases; i've also updated the game to version 2.0.113
These are my issues:
TSM.exe, TSLHost.dll and rld.dll override
The game simply don't start: by using the launcher or by clicking on TSM.exe, nothing happen; no error message, no black screen.. nothing. The process just appear for less than a second on task manager then nothing.
TSM fake image (mdx)
The game run properly (as uncraked) but it doesn't find the optical device (even if it is mounted correctly), so basically i cannot play.
I've also tried other cracks around the web for the same version of the game (making backup of original files), but no luck since now

Hello,
Thank you, that looks good.
You could have a look here, it describes the process for The Sims 3, but the same principle applies for The Sims medieval, or run the game as administrator.

Re: The Sims Medieval - P&N
Hi, i've just tried the DEP setting, but windows 7 won't allow me to do that: it say "This program must run with data execution protection (DEP) enabled. You cannot turn off DEP for this program"
And i've also tried with administrator rights, compatiblity mode and so on.. but nothing happen

Hello,
I think you can still add it to the DEP, but wait for Admin, he can tell you more.

Sure thing, thank you for the assistance
//EDIT
No luck btw: i've used the manual command bcdedit.exe/set nx AlwaysOff to disable the DEP, but the game it's still not starting

Re: The Sims Medieval - P&N
I was thinking: my game start just fine when uncracked, i simply cannot play because it cannot find the optical support;
i was using the fake cd image from this topic
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t916-the-sims-medieval-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
but this is for Medieval only (without P&N), so it's not working; can you please make a similar fake image for P&N so i can try this new way too?

Re: The Sims Medieval - P&N
Hello,
Please remove the Temporary Fix and apply the official one! Be sure to remove the old one completely, all the files you used for it.
The "fake image" works for both the base game as for P&N.

Re: The Sims Medieval - P&N
Ill try to schematize the results, so you can make your guess
If I apply ANY kind of crack (official, unofficial, anything found on the internet) - the game simply won't start (as said in post nr. 1 of this topic).
If I leave the game uncracked - the game start perfectly, but it won't recognize any fake image i've found so far (inlcuded the one relased in the temporary fix)
- I've also disabled Avira and Comodo to be sure they're not blocking the game, but nothing changed, neither inlcuding all the files from all the game folders (both base and expansion) in the exception lists (both Avira AV and Comodo firewall);
- DEP settings, Run as Administrator or Compatibility settings are not working as well
- I've other craked games installed and they're working perfectly: also, when there's something blocking them (like the AV, the firewall or anything else) i'm always receiving messages about it (in this case, nothing).
I really don't know what else I can do

Re: The Sims Medieval - P&N
Hello,
Is it possible that your antivirus is quarantining the crack for this particular game? If that happens the moment you crack it, disabling your antivirus isn't going to prevent that.

Re: The Sims Medieval - P&N
Nope, already checked the quarantine list and as i've said i've put all the files in the exceptions for both AV and firewall.
Besides, if I crack only Medieval (base) it work just fine: the problem it's only with the P&N expansion

Re: The Sims Medieval - P&N
Hello,
The P&N doesn't need to be cracked. You only need to crack the base game. When you do so, P&N will be automatically cracked to.
So, did you download these two games from Games4theworld?

Re: The Sims Medieval - P&N
Yes, as you can see from the screenshot above i've cracked the main game: what i mean is that the problem has showed up with the 2.0.113 version of the game installed to follow P&N instructions, because before i was using only the main game with an old patch (2.0.109 if i'm not mistaken) and it was running just fine.
And yes, i've downloaded both copied from your links

Re: The Sims Medieval - P&N
Hello,
You should re-apply the latest crack from the latest version of the Ultimate Fix. If that didn't work either, please contact me via the Forum's chatbox when you see me online on the Forum.
