The Sims 3 Has stopped working message

I keep getting a message that says "the sims 3 has stopped working". This message used to come randomly after playing for a few hours and would freeze and crash the game but now it is coming when i start a game so I can't play at all. It happens when I say I want to play a family. Anyway I have no cc or mods, I have installed pets, outdoor, showtime, fast lane, ambitions and town life. I recently installed high end loft but uninstalled because I thought that might be causing the crashing issue. It wasn't. So thats all, thanks in advance for your help. Let me know what other details I need to provide.
