Issues with all Sims 3 Expansions

I have tried downloading every sims 3 expansions that are offered through Games4theworld. Every one gives me errors. I was mostly getting the same from them all but through pets, it made my sims 3 base game not work either. I'm wondering, i downloaded the Sims 3 base from a disk, can that cause issues for downloaded expensions?
I even tried the ULTIMATE FIX, and it didnt do anything. HELP.

The base game was from a store bought disk, i put it in the computer and all that jazz, so i don't think i have a modified installer. nit sure though.
the initial errors were, i would start the expansion game i downloaded, and the screen would come up black and nothing would happen, so i tried uninstalling and re-installing, making sure that i followed the "README" instruction exactly and came out with the same issue. so thereafter I dowloaded the "ultimate fix: from this sit and it Sims launcher will start to come up but then and error popped up saying there was an error starting the game.
i completely uninstalled the games including the base game. re-installed the base game, and now waiting on any further assistance before letting Utorrent download my waiting expansions.
Even if someone has to send me a step by step, dumb'd down version of instructions so there is NO WAY i can screw it up, i would really appreciate it.

The current error, which even after re-installation says "there was a problem with start up. See log for more information."
I was playing Sims 3 before I downloaded the "ultimate fix", So i dont understand what happened or how to fix it.

OK, so i have master suite installed, i did EXACTLY as those instructions told me, pasting to base game not expansion for the crack files, THEN i did what the sims 3 fix.rar file told me to do, and i tried to start the game and the exact pop up that happens in the game launcher window is
"There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details."
I uninstalled EVERYTHING and reinstalled the base game, and tested it. It worked. now i did the master suite expansion following directions to a T, and now its doing that.

Could it be that instead of the base game download, I am using a store bought base game?
I have the Sims 3, Ambitions and Late Nights. all three were store bought. All were working fine, but then i started trying to download your expansions and suddenly nothing will work.

Well i guess my problem is that my base game is a delux edition with Ambitions.
