Sims 3 lag/crash on mac

Hello,

I really realy really hope u guys can assist me with my problem because i really wanted to play sims 3 without any lag/crash issue anymore. Actually I'm not really sure what causes this problem. I have been reinstalling the game a few times for a few days now....but still there's problem with my sims 3....=( For your information, I have Sims 3 reloaded, Sims 3 Pets, Sims 3 Town life stuff and Sims 3 World adventures from G4TW. I also downloaded the patch and ultimate fix from G4TW. I have Macbook OS X 10.6.8, processor: 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 and memory: 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 if this helps..

Here are the details of my problem:

1) I don't have any problems installing sims 3 base game and town life stuff but when I was installing sims 3 pets, i got this error message: Sims 3 is more recent than expected. Sims 3 pets could be incompatible. Please update games before playing (this is how i remember it). But I still get to install it. The same error message occurred when I tried to install sims 3 world adventures....But I still proceed with the installation. After that, I patched my game to v1.33 from G4TW and applied the ultimate fix crack. I only applied the crack in the #crack folder in ultimate fix folder in sims 3 base game.

2) Then I downloaded and installed custom content from the sims resource. After that, I open the info.plist in the sims 3 base game content and replace the line where it says ......(something before this) slauncer.exe with TSW3.exe

3) I played the game and created my sims using the custom content, actually i created two sims but i only played one sim, the other one i merged it with another sims already existed in the game, i played for a while and visited china, after my sim went home, i made it visit the other sim that i created and then the game lag and i couldn't do anything about it, it just stuck and i have to restart my mac again....the i started the game again, played for awhile like 10 mnts before it went lag again....really frustrating...=(

Please please please help me and tell me what did i do wrong...

Hi Sofea,

Can you tell me a little bit more about your mac? What kind of graphics card do you have?

Also, when you are running your game, make sure you close all background programs first, as this could be what's overwhelming your computer.

Do you only have this problem when visiting other worlds? Try playing the game for a while without leaving your neighborhood and see if you still have any problems.
