Can not install any expansion packs or stuff packs. [SOLVED]

Hello, I've just downoaded sims 3 basegame with all the expansions and stuffpacks to another pc. We managed to install sims 3 itself but can not install any others because of a errormessage that ive gotten before about IE and Windows vista service pack even though its not being used. It's a Windows 7 64-bit and I've tried the same solution wich was to install the manual update. We've tried that twice now and it still won't work. We can't try the ultimate fix because the only game managed to install is the bassegame. Thanful for help!

Hello,

Please open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!) When you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now, start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!
