sims 3 unable to start game service initialization failed...HELP!

I tried to install the Katy Perry, Fast Lane and Town Life expansions and got through the installations ok, but when I tried to play the actual game, it kept saying "unable to start game...service initialization failed" etc. I previously installed the base game, generations, pets and late night successfully. It was only after I installed the other expansions that it stopped working. I have tried to apply the ultimate fix in the base game's folder and it still does not work correctly. I tried to uninstall all three of the added expansions but it still does not work even after re-applying the fix afterwards! Help!

*i also had installed the master suite expansion successfully prior to KP, FL and TL expansions
