service initialization failed (0x24e424f)

I just bought a new computer, so I needed to install the sims 3. I installed it and when I started playing it crashed into deskop after 20-30 min. So I found this site and I re-installed everything and applied the manual patch and ultimate fix. That fixed the crashing problem, but afterwards it would not load saves and just adviced me to restart the game. I got some tips which I haven't found out if worked yet. (hopefully it did) Now, when I try to start the game I get this message: service initialization failed (0x24e424f). It prevents to start the game and I just don't know what to do.

Btw. I forgot to mention that my TS3 games are all bought at a store, which means I use cd's.

1. Do you have any Mods or Custom Content?
2. Did you re-do all these steps WITHOUT SKIPPING any steps: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly ?

I do not have any mods or costum content, and I did follow all of those steps. Did not skip any.

I can try to re-install everything, should I now try to apply the entire fix or just the #crack folder?

Well my original problem was that it kept on crashing to descop saying that something went wrong and it closed the game.

I just completed installing expansion and stuff packs through Town Life. I also installed the extra downloads and store content. I completed the ultimate fix and crack and received the same service initialization error & number as the original poster. Could there be an outdated mod in the store content?

in the launcher downloads tab there was an 0kb pattern called al hawaiin or something similar. I selected delete but it didn't disappear. I restarted the launcher, again in the downloads tab, the al hawaiin item was gone, replaced by an object called art the 50's. Also 0kb. I deleted this as well but it did not disappear. I've been launching from the downloads folder and depending on which I select, a different 0kb item will show with only the ability to delete which it does not do. When I try to manually search for the items, I'm unable to find them in my folders.

Could this be causing the problem? I can't actually launch my game. I made sure to close everything, restarted my computer, then followed the directions from Ultimate (again) and I still have the same problem.

I deleted all store content and used a different launcher (from town life file). Everything is FIXED!! May try installing store content again later.
