The sims 3 running very slow after update 1.34.27 HELP!

I got the sims 3 at the weekend after moving country and having to buy it again. I had the sims 3 installed before with no updates and it worked perfectly, this was around a year ago.

I installed it everything worked fine the game wasnt slow or jerky- the only issue I had was with controlling the speed all 3 speeds seemed to move at the same pace, so i googled and found out this issue was addressed away back in the first update.

so I updated to 1.34.27 -

Ever since then the game is unplayable as it is too slow takes around 10mins to load and then it is very jerky and totally slow.

Has anyone else got this problem? I have no CC installed just the update and I have no expansion packs only base game.

I forgot to mention I installed the update through origin.

I'm having the same issue, it makes the game unbearable to play! I installed the update through games4theworld.
