Sims 3 Pets problem

Hi!
So, I installed the base game and all of the expansion packs (no stuff packs) in the right order, etc, etc. Pets was the last one I installed and when I start playing I get this:
"Looks like you've installed an unofficial modification of the game that is not compatible with your current version of The Sims 3. We recommend uninstalling these changes or get the most current versions to not experience significant errors or problems."
Exit / Continue
I just ignored this and the game seemed to work just fine, but when I wanted to start playing with a game that I had previously saved or trying to make a new city/family the game wouldn't work. I press play but nothing happens. How can I fix this?
PD. I speak spanish, so the warning translation I wrote might not be exactly the same as "the english version".

Did you also install the ultimate fix?
Right now, if you were to patch all the way to 1.36, it's outdated, but it's still good if your base game version is 1.34.
