Mass Effect 1.[SOLVED]

I'm sure you've never been contacted for such a problem, but here it is :
I downloaded ME1 from tpb and all that downloaded was a file with the torrent name that refuses to open.
Here's wht it looks like ...

Alright downloaded it again and the .rar file opened.
Installed the game to my g: (only 1 tht had space)
Couldn't find any C:\Program Files\Mass Effect\Binaries but saw a Binaries folder in my game folder (the 1 i installed ME in)
Replaced the MassEffect.exe there with th 1 that i got from #mapfix.
Every time i try to open MassEffect.exe this i what happens ...

After that it just closes. I hv a Windows 7 (x64).

I don't think you understand ...
I don't have a C:\Program Files(x86)\Mass Effect or a C:\Program Files\Mass Effect folder !!

Yes I do and that's probably because that's not where you installed it Wink

Placing crack files still works the same though, only you look for the appropriate folder in the directory you did install it. And you did that.
I'm not sure about this message though. Are you the administrator on your pc?

Alright, I installed the patch for version 1.02 on the link u gave and the msg stopped. Now it asks me for my registration key nd it give me an error when i enter any key from the install guide, chk it out ...

Please DO NOT skip step 2 and read very carefully on what to do;

Admin wrote:
1. Download and install this patch: http://files.bioware.com/masseffect/updates/MassEffect_EFIGS_1.02.exe
2. Download this crack for that version of the game (1.02): http://www.antistarforce.com/_ld/60/6094_MassEffectv1.02.7z
3. Extract the files from the crack (7-zip file) to a folder on your Desktop.
4. Open that folder on your Desktop and copy the included "MassEffect.exe", the "rld.bin" and the "rld.exe" to: C:\Program Files(x86)\Mass Effect\Binaries and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
5. See if the game works now.
