Re: sims 3 supernatural
Hello,
I'm still contemplating whether to install it or not. My pc is seriously low end and I really want to have Seasons. I'm already uninstalling Showtime so I can up my chances for reasonable game play with Seasons, and I previously uninstalled the stuffpacks to run Showtime.
I may ditch Late Night as well and install Supernatural once I've made sure Seasons runs.
I will download and seed it.

Re: sims 3 supernatural
Hello,
No I don't have it yet of course. I will download it, I did afterall download and seed Katy Perry Sweet Treats even though I have no intention at all to install it. But as part of the support staff here I should help seed it so I do.
And I do intend to get a new pc, I just don't know when, so I may as well have Supernatural stored on my external HD in case I do
And yes if Seasons runs well enough I may try adding Supernatural when I'm sure Seasons runs ok. I'll have to start a new game if I decide to uninstall later and I'd like to prevent that.

Re: sims 3 supernatural
Thanks, it's just a matter of finances at the moment. My pc unfortunately can't be upgraded anymore. All I could do is add 2GB RAM or upgrade to a better graphics card but I'm afraid that doesn't solve it.

Re: sims 3 supernatural
Lady ElDi I have the same problem. My the most big problem is memory. I have only 30 GB on C drive and 10 GB on D. I had to uninstall showtime too, cuz it lag too much. But I think my laptop will still survive Supernatural and Seasons. Few days ago my PC excite me soo much, cuz I was able to play in custom world New York. It`s really very big world. Maybe yours PC will make you a gift too
I want Supernatural cuz of werewolves. They are soo funny and cute in trailers. And I love town as well, if add some late night buildings there it will be type of town that I try to find in custom worlds so long time.

Yeah definitely, but since I can't be bothered to go on a quest for a CPU that would work with my 7 year old motherboard, only to find an outdated overpriced unit, I'm just practicing my patience until I can build a new system from scratch.

Hey! She doesn't need someone from the UK to that for her, when... she's got me.
The Cat In Boots, with memory Lady ElDi actually was referring to RAM, not the HDD (Hard Disk Drive) storage. The Cat In Boots wrote:Lady ElDi I have the same problem. Re: sims 3 supernatural
Hey Lady,
A question: Has removing SP's affected your game performance? Has it been better after uninstalling them? I want to remove all my SPs (no problem in space), maybe not all of them, and I want to know is it worth it?

Re: sims 3 supernatural
What I'm looking forward to the most is playing as a fairy, lol. And zombie attacks! I recently downloaded a mod which lets you shoot Sims (they die and you go to jail)... But yeah. It will come in handy for the zombies. Although, I hope my Sim doesn't get sent to jail for shooting zombies...

Hello,
It totally depends on your system. My PC can almost run The Sims 3, according to CYRI. My CPU doesn't quite cut it. So when I had everything up to Showtime, the game was practically unplayable, very choppy, lots of lag. I had a couple of choices:
-Get rid of my mods. Like "Housecleaning for everyone" and from Nraas Story Progression, Traveler, Master Controller and Overwatch. (I hated this idea and still do)
-Lower the in game graphics, which helped a little but I just couldn't stand having sim quality on low. Fat sims and thin sims all looked the same size and pregnant sims weren't showing. Trees looked awful.
-Get rid of some add-ons. Like sims3packs and stuffpacks.
And that's what I did. The result is that some objects will be replaced by base game objects but it doesn't render savegames useless. And the game became playable again. And well I enjoyed playing with Showtime for a little while but I'm more of a casual sims player, having them lead full lives but not necessarily as celebs or singers. Which is why I'd gladly replace Showtime with Seasons. I did put the sims3packs back eventually though.
I guess if your pc is mid to high end there won't be a significant increase in game performance but if it is (very) low end, it's worth it. Very low end meaning: single core CPU, less than 2GB RAM.

Yup that's what I had 7 years ago. I've been hoping to build a new pc for about a year now, but it doesn't quite fit into my budget yet.

Re: sims 3 supernatural
It does take time to rebuild or have a new machine, but my main issue for you Lady Eldi is PLEASE DO NOT GET A NORMAL HD. Get an SSD with the 64 or 128 gigabytes or as big as you yourself can afford. Trust you can't get any faster than an SSD drive and they are quite inexpensive. I wish you the Best Lady Eldi. Prices on the SSD drives continues to go down and within 1 year they will be super close to a normal HD on pricing.
64 Gig SSD * Less than 80 US dollars
128 Gig SSD * Less than 100 US dollars
256 Gig SSD * Less than 200 US Dollars
This will not only speed up the new machine with almost instant access to almost any program you have but it will make Life much less difficult in the waiting for items to popup. Also you game will start up before even your coffee is made. Also you can brake down the old PC and use it's HD for storage with either a cable connection or an empty HD holder which would run about 25 beans.
Just a heads up on the latest prices. Hope it helps.
Good Luck 2 U

Re: sims 3 supernatural
Well, I do hope you could obtain your desired CPU/PC soon Lady ElDi! (sorry not that knowledgeable about pc's) . In my end, what I'm lacking is the graphics card. I think that causes the lags and crashes. I dunno..What I already have are Generations, Ambitions, and WA. I uninstalled WA because it always freezes. Before I install Diesel Stuff, Pets, and Master Suite, everything's fine. I didn't try any other SP's

I'll need at least 1TB though.
