Child won't go to school? [SOLVED]

So recently I've found I've had this weird glitch in my game that only happens sometimes where my sim refuses to go to work. The action to go to work will come up in the queue, then immediately disappear again. I've found that if I switch her to her career outfit then instruct her to go to work she'll be fine, but my sim recently had a child and it's her first day of school and she refuses to go just like her mother usually refuses to go to work. The thing is, there are no 'school clothes' for her to change into, so I don't know how to work around this. Does anyone know how to fix this icky glitch? Please help!

But mods are the obvious first thing to ask about. I'll let you know what comes up.
Ok try this: backup the The Sims 3 folder in Documents/Electronic Arts. The easiest way is to simply drag it to your desktop. Start the launcher, this will generate a new folder. Now, copy only your savegames to the new folder and start the game to see if the problem persists.
