Sims 3 Supernatural grey on launcher?

Well I followed the instructions to the letter and it updated itself so when I tried to update using the manual patch it was saying it was an older version on the patch and I'd have to delete the 1.38 version. And the supernatural expansion isnt lit up on the launcher?

Yes but it said it was already updated to 1.38 and I had to delete the previous versonif I wanted to update it? Also I tried to play the base game but it crashed at the loading screen?
