Sims stuck on move in process screen

The game says that it's processing but it takes ages and doesnt move forward. what should i do? I'm moving my sim into another household because she got married and uhm i clicked sell furniture

Tried again and removed backups and mods and it's still going on... what could it be?

Try backing up and removing this folder completely: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\

how do i back it up?

Just right-click on it and choose "Copy".
Now "Paste" it to a folder where you'd like to keep the backup.

Yes, after backing up, just remove the folder.
And yes, the folder will be re-created when you start the game again.
