The CAS mode crashes and hangs all the time! it never worked from the start! :(

all the gameplay is working okay... except the CAS mode which crashes within 1-2 min. after opening .. even the gameplay works but after 15-20 min. it also starts hanging . i dont know what is the problem. I only have the base game and
my pc configuration is Windows 7 ,i3 processor , 4 gb ram ...
still this problem is there ...

okay.. and I just installed the awesome mod too to edit the players in CAS in the game play.. as I was not able to edit them while creating ( the fastest I could do in 1 min. is that adding random sims ) ... so should I remove it too?

Awesomemod should be fine, as long as it's the most recent version, and is designed for the most recent patch. You've just gotta make sure that you follow all those steps in that post, and it should help out, at least some.

and btw, the launcher shows this message "You are playing a non-final, unauthorized copy of The Sims 3. " . Is that a problem?

p.s. I have no idea if its the latest version. I guess it must be, as I downloaded it from their site moreawesomethanyou something...

Plus, should I use the Ultimate fix or the update thing first?

After replacing the files as mentioned in the ultimate fix, thesimslauncher does not work! ..
and i only have the base game! can I even use the ultimate fix?

That's why I said read all the steps. You need another expansion/stuff pack in order to use the fix. The ones you can choose from are all listed in step 1.

After updating and applying the fix again , it keeps showing to ENTER REGISTRATION CODE ...

So which expansion is the smallest?? I cant wait anymore for the game to work properly

I installed Mastersuite , and updated and applied the fix and still this problem is there!! only CREATE A SIM mode crashes. Now it crashes much earlier than it used to before

i think the copy is corrupted or something.. because I have unistalled and installed again for like 4 times and it never solved the problem :O

I tried those 5 steps...
it still is crashing.. although now the CAS works for around 3 mins.
But the game play doesn't even last 10 mins. now

version is 1.38.151xx

YA I've been using it since you told.

i've been playing like this only. But now the game crashes after 2-3 min. !!! it goes blank and then stops responding.

I dont know about drivers. How do I check ?
And Updates, Almost. I have service pack 1 windows 7 professional 32 - Bit
