Problem installing The Sims 3 expansions. [SOLVED]

Well, I did a little research on this forum and found that it is a relatively common issue, but couldn't really find a fix for it, so I decided to just open a new thread. I apologize for that.

Anyway, I used all the guides provided on this site to download and install The Sims 3 expansions. Once I downloaded all the files, I follow the steps provided in one of those, using Disk Utility to turn the decompressed files (now in a Folder) into a .dmg. Then, I open the dmg file, and this is what I get:



When I double-click the Installer icon, or drag it to my Apps folder, it just doesn't work (does a small bump and that's it).

I decompressed the whole thing with WinrarX, and my Sims 3 base game is the original one.

Please re-do the whole process, but now only use Stuffit Expander to extract the original .rar file, instead of WinrarX.

I had the fear that it would be some silly thing like that.

I'll report as soon as I try it with Stuffit Expander.
