PLEASE HELP! [SOLVED]

I am trying to download the Supernatural expansion. I have just entered the serial code and chose the destination for the install BUT all of a sudden I get the error "To Install Sims 3 Supernatural you must have The Sims 3 already installed"
I bought the original base game and it is installed from the disk, so I have no idea why I am getting this error ! Please help me!

Did you play it before you tried to install Supernatural? Might not hurt to try to re-install.

Note: xoSymone has solved this problem. All he needed to do was to was to apply the ultimate fix before installing Supernatural (:
