Multiple problems including Error During Startup and Service Initialization Failed

Okay, so I literally installed ALL of the games/stuff packs today. Supernatural included. In the proper order of their release. I used torrents from TPB, game discs and the instructions here, along with your game fix, and I tried all the stuff I've read so far on EA forums and what I found here, nothing seems to work.

I downloaded from the original disc, the base game, and the world adventures expansion.
Updated both games.
I downloaded everything everything else, installed, and deleted all the ISO files and other folders from my computer, and cleared the Recycle bin.
Read all the directions in the how to install the sims 3 correctly thread.
Opened the manual patch, said I was already updated to that version, so I skipped it.
Opened the Install Instructions in the fix RAR followed all of them, got to step 11, the first time I'm opening the Launcher this entire time mind you, and I get the "Error During Startup. Please see log" error. Go to the FAQ on the .org website, watch the video, see that I have not uninstalled any games, realize that's not the problem. Go on EA forums, look for help, see nothing of particular help as most people having the issue were playing Ambitions only and had just installed.
Decided to go forward and just try the next step anyway, hoping it will fix the issue I'm having, it doesn't.
Then I try to run the game without the Launcher, I get the "Service Initialization Failed" error.
I don't know where to go next, or what to try next. I removed the step 12 files so I don't have either the TS3W.exe or the other file at all.

Anyone have any help or advice or anything? Also, would it be a good idea to redownload the Sims fix and place the files from step 10 into the folder again?

I literally haven't done a no-CD crack since the first Sims. The last one I remember doing was Makin Magic, so any information at all would be much appreciated.

Also, I went back and installed the patch anyway after going on the EA forums and finding no help.

I think - not sure - that you have the same problem.

I have the same problem.. I installed the sims 3 complete torrent (40 GB).. Had everything up until generations and town life stuff. Did everything the way I was supposed to and I get the same error as the user who created this thread. the error code i keep getting is 0x024e424f

Two weird things happened while installing though. During installation after late night it kept saying that my version is more updated than the one i'm installing (even though i went in the right order)
Oh and my sims 3 base folder didn't have a sims3W.exe in the bin until i actually put it there from the crack folder.

Should I uninstall/reinstall everything? I still have the .iso files so it shouldn't take too long
