Sims 3 Not Working. [SOLVED]

I just downloaded the ultimate fix for update 1.39. I placed the fix for the base game and pets in the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin' folder and the fix for late night in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Late Night\Game\Bin' and then updated the game. After it was updated I placed the crack in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin'. When I tried to start the game it instantly stopped working and had to be shut down. Have I placed something in the wrong folder or will i have to reinstall?

Help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

The Fix you placed in the Base Game wasn't hopefully the same fix, that you placed in the Pets Game?
Be cause there is a different fix for each of them.
1. Base Game
2. Pets.
3. Late Night.
Update and then the Crack.

It says to place the fix for pets in the base game folder (alongside the base game fix) and not the pets folder which I have done.

That's right.

I just though, that you have use Pets FIX for both of them.
Base Game and Pets and didn't read it all, 'cause that's my first thought

But if you putted the Pets fix in the Pets Bin-Folder - did you remove them and how?

It has a FIX too.

For The Sims 3 - base game: open the "Base Game" folder in this .rar file and drag & drop both files in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.

I didn't touch or go near the sims 3 pets-game-bin folder as it said to place the 'Supernatural & Diesel Stuff & Katy Perry Sweet Treats & Showtime & Master Suite Stuff & Pets & Town Life Stuff & Generations' FIX into the sims 3-game-bin folder and placed the sims 3 FIX in the sims 3-game-bin folder.

Sorry about this, I'm not great with technical things.

I misunderstod you again - sorry about that.
Thought you had placed the fix in the Pets.
I must learn how to read!!

If you're sure that you have placed it all where it belongs, then I do not know where to go from there.
Did you copy and paste or drag and drop the files, that needed to be placed?
'cause if you dragged and drop, you could check up, if any still was in the old folders.
Or you could copy and paste again to be certain, that you have done it right

I dragged and dropped and I just did it there again to be certain i did it right and the game is still not working. I have no clue whats happened to the game.

Note that you should copy the files from the "# Crack" folder to the base game's installation folder, NOT the files that are in the folder with the long name.

I've copied the two files from the # crack folder and placed them only in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin, that's right is it?

That's correct, yes!
And it's still not working?

No it is not working, I just get the 'game has stopped working' error 5 seconds into the loading screen.

Try backing up and removing this folder completely: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

I think it's a MOD, that's causing: "The Game has stopped working"
Had a smililar problem - turn out to be a missing base mod to Twallans Storyprogression.

Du you have any mods?
If so, are they up to date with the new patch?

I just removed all mods from the game and that seems to be working perfectly. thanks for your time and help!

I had to take out all the mods because I merge all my mods into the one file to speed up my game. I keep a back up of all the mods I use so I'll have to update them then merge them together again. Shouldn't take long.
