i'm new- launcher problems

hi i'm new, I've been trying to install my sims3 games including a couple expansions, i followed the directions carefully but when i proceed to start the game i receive an error message from the launcher stating that it has stopped working ... the launcher doesn't load up after that and it just shuts down after that ... any ideas on how i can fix this ?

Maybe try starting the game without the launcher. Use TS3.exe (or TS3W.exe depending on your installation). That bypasses the launcher completely.

Posting the error message might be a little more helpful to the Admin and the others who can help
