Using the ultimate fix for 1.42..[SOLVED] Empty Using the ultimate fix for 1.42..[SOLVED]

Since I've already uninstalled everything (the base game and several expansions) and reinstalled the base (without updating), do I download the fix before or after I install the expansions?
Also, do I need to update to any version before I do anything at all?

I went to install one of the expansions (Ambitions) and it's saying I need to update before I can continue. Do I update like it says to?

Hello,

You can allow the installer to update as needed, or use the manual patch now, and again when you finish installing everything.

Where is the crack folder at that is listed in the directions?
