Game is crashing mid load [SOLVED]

Every time I try to load a specific game save (even a new one) it crashes. I can get into the main menu fine(read:not the launcher), but I try to actually load anything and it crashed 1/8 of the way there exactly. This has been happening ever since I attempted to dl Late Night. I get the 'It looks like you have installed an unofficial game modification that does not match your current version of the sims, we reccomend you uninstall/update it etc' even though I have removed all mods to trash bin (no idea what to do with .package files for the most part.)
I bought the game, pirated both supernatural and showtime successfully.
I cannot update my game, it says invalid file found, I cannot manually patch it, it tells me 'Cannot determine version of the game etc'.

To do the manual patch, try to right-click and run as Admin.

Sounds like you probably have different version game and Ultimate Fix, so once you manage to update to 1.42, make sure you have the latest ultimate fix downloaded and apply that.

I'm not sure if your problem is related to the above, but do the above first, and if your problem still exist, let us know.
